Hey ya'll! It's been a crazy, busy couple of weeks. It's been good, bad, excellent, sad, easy, trying, and wonderful all rolled into one. Randy and I went to the fair and I managed to leave with having only eaten 3 golden fried mushrooms and a half order of Fiske fries. I don't know what it is about those daggum deep fried oil sauteed potatoes but they are GOOD! We passed on the chocolate covered bacon. I love bacon and I LOVE chocolate even more..but the combination made my stomach curl. Even Randy, who eats just about anything (well I do to for that matter) said ugh! We had so much fun though...I could have sat on a bench and people watched the entire time and been happier than a puppy with a pig ear. That would have definitely come out a lot cheaper...but instead of the free entertainment, we managed to spend an outfit's worth on those games you can never win. Randy has an obsession with them. Me, however, I was happy to save my games worth and spend it on clothes..or a new piece of jewelry. We also managed to finish our roof this week. Talk about marriage hurdles! We actually did it all by ourselves and didn't kill each other or threaten divorce once! It was really kind of fun. We got to spend lots and lots and lots of quality time together and it was refreshing to be outside so much. We now have tin taupe roof..which I'm not crazy about the color...but I'll save you the story.
Those were the fun times of the past few weeks. The saddest day of the month was yesterday. Actually the saddest day of the whole year probably. My best friend...my mom's best friend's daughter and my grandmother's best friends' granddaughter...called and told me she was pregnant on Sept. 18th. Yes I know that's happy right..but then yesterday she lost the baby. Many people would argue that at 10 weeks a baby it is not. But in my eyes, it had a heartbeat, it was created by God and it was a baby. She's holding up. She knows who holds her future and she knows who is holding her hand and with His help, she will make it. The Lord giveth and He also taketh away. For some reason, Baby Rutland wasn't ready for this world. Maybe He's making her wait until I'm ready to have one so the 4th generation can also be best friends. We will know one day the reason, but for now, we must have hope, joy, and peace.
On a lighter note...Halloween is this weekend...and I don't have to work tomorrow (which is Friday)!!! I am sooooooooo excited. I just am thrilled to death to not have to set my alarm and not have to shower..or even get out of my jammies if I don't want to. I mean obviously I will. I have to run errands and bake some...but really...I can relax!

Hey folks! So...it's my first post and I'm not quite sure how this goes...so I'll keep it short! I should start by saying that I'm not as talented on this blog as my cousin, Kim, is! She's really the master of the blog and she has three kids and a husband! She somehow always has time to keep things updated and fun...while I am here with no kids and ample time, and I never write on here. I'm working in Bamberg today. My first patient of the day did not show up and it's sooooo aggravating! I mean seriously...we call them the day before and then they just don't even bother to call us to cancel or anything..they just don't show up!! ARG!! Anyway, tonight is GA night and I'm looking forward to it. I love these girls but they are terrible!! I'm praying for patience, obedience, discipline, favor, and wisdom. I need it all to teach these girls. I'm excited for the weekend. We really don't have plans and I love that! Randy and I rarely get time together, especially on the weekends. We always have something going on and this weekend is free! I think we are going to our state fair in Columbia. Can't wait to eat all that yummy goodness that's deep fried with sugar on top!! So much for the biggest loser Chip style competition this week at work. Ok..I promised to keep it short..so goodbye! Have a wonderful blessed day and pray that God blesses my mind and my hands. I want to glorify Him with my work! Love, Dr. Robyn Reece :)
